Join renowned editorial magazine photographer Layne Kennedy for five days on Madeline Island creating your own photographic story. Traveling the scenic shores and interior of the Island, you will journey to a variety of natural environments documenting your experiences through the eye of your camera.
In this workshop Layne will show you the tools necessary for photographing visual themes. While visiting the scenes and settings around Madeline Island, you will incorporate night work, portraits, still life, nature and Lake Superior.
Layne will open the workshop with a presentation on the first day, and you will be shooting from dawn to dusk thereafter. He will spend each day with the group demonstrating the necessary techniques for creating quality images. You will participate in numerous field opportunities and a variety of classroom sessions.
Workshop participants will need a 35mm digital camera, a variety of lenses, and a laptop.
On the final day of this workshop, each participant will prepare and present to the group for critique a 10-image photographic story developed during this workshop on the Island.
